Getting started

A simple guide to using cashupp.

Use this guide when you are signing in for the first time, closing a shift, checking past cash-ups, or helping a new team member get started.

First sign-in

  1. Open the invite email and choose Set your password.
  2. Create a password you will remember, then sign in with your username or email address.
  3. If you look after more than one venue, check that you are working in the correct venue before entering figures.
  4. Add or update your contact details from My Account if the app asks you to complete them.

Close a shift

  1. Select the venue first, then select the staff member or manager completing the shift.
  2. Count the coins and notes in the till and enter the quantity for each denomination.
  3. Check the float amount. This is removed from the gross cash total.
  4. Enter card payments for the shift.
  5. Review Net cash and Total takings before submitting.

Submit with confidence

Press Submit once, then wait for the green confirmation message. That message means the cash-up has been saved.

Before you leave the page

If you need a copy, use Email or Print. If you notice a mistake after submitting, ask your manager or administrator to check the saved record.

Find a past cash-up

Open Reports to search previous shifts by venue or person. Use the filters to find recent cash-ups, best shifts, or records from the last 7 or 30 days.

Sharing a record

Open the saved shift, then email or print the report if someone needs a copy.

Help a teammate get started

  • Ask the person who manages your venue access to send an invite.
  • Check that the invite email has arrived before the new user starts their first shift.
  • The new user should open the email, set a password, and sign in before service gets busy.
  • If the email does not arrive, check spam or junk mail first, then ask for the invite to be sent again.

If something feels stuck

  • If no venues appear, sign out and sign back in, then check that your account has venue access.
  • If an invite expires, ask the person who sent it to send a fresh one.
  • If a confirmation message appears, read it before pressing the same button again.
  • If totals look wrong, check the quantities, float, card payments, venue, and currency before submitting.
